See that black cable coming in from under Wille's bed?
It's the "remote" for his bed. Wille has one of those beds where you can adjust the back rest and foot end. Awesome, if it hadn't been for that nasty loking curly cable and hockey stick size thingy at the end. And aside from that there's also the issue of the other remotes; TV and cable. Wille's bed is in a nook within built in cllosets and there's no place for a bedside table.
Enter the bed pocket. I know similar to these can be bought nowadays but I made this one many years ago for the sofa actually and then found it and reused it for Wille's bed. It's the easiest thing to make.
All you need is a piece of fabric which you stitch along all four sides. Reusing a table runner would be really good because it's the right width and the side seams are already done for you! Fold up the bottom end up and stitch the sides together and then stitch where you want the pockets to go. Wille has three pockets for remotes and one pen pocket on his.
To attach it to the bed I use safety pins and simply pin them to the mattress. The overlay mattress goes on top so there's no pricking oneself while in bed. I also add two pins from the back of the bed skirt holding the bottom corners down (which you can't see). I do this because since Wille's bed moves and changes shape I don't want the pocket to go all over the place. If you have a regular bed you probably won't need those.
