Polli Give-Away!

Tags: , , ,

I haven't told you all that much about my day job because I like to keep blog and job separated but I think I've mentioned that I'm in the jewellery business. I've also told you that I hardly wear any of that stuff. Kind of an odd combo but that's the way it is.

I rarely get excited about jewellery and accessories but when I saw these my heart melted a little bit.

Aussie company Polli offered one of their über-cute pieces as a give away and I just couldn't resist (and you have no idea how many offers of give-aways I turn down). So if you want to be entered in the draw for your favorite stainless steel pendant or pair of earrings please leave a comment telling us which polli piece is your favorite from their stainless steel collection and why.

NESSTC It probably doesn't come as a surprise that my personal favorites, seen here, include bikes, pets and houses. Can you spot the designer's dog Alfie in one of the windows of the terrace above btw? How sweet is that?

The winner will be drawn on Wednesday. Good luck!

Oh, almost forgot, the good people at Polli are offering a 10% discount for the month of March. Just use the code Pollifan0310 at checkout!

EDIT: Comments are now closed for this give away. The winner will be announced on Thursday March 18.

  • a. says:

I like the bicycle built for two best, even after looking at the website. so sweet!

  • Mary says:

I like lyre bird earrings (and the pendant). I like how the tail detail and the way they are arrange up and down. The ends of the feather tail are like teardrops. The whole detailing is beautiful.

  • Lotten says:

Mitt favorit smycke blev nog halsbandet med cykeln – den var härlig!

  • My favorite is the “ss seahorse pendant”. I love seahorses, and even have it in my business’ logo. I have one pendant with a different silver seahorse, I have one real seahorse framed, so this would be a wonderful contribution to my seahors-collection! 😉

  • It’s my beautiful sisters birthday today. I just finished her birthday blog and decided to visit before bed. What a fun birthday gift these would make. I think she would look great with the ELM pandant. Love it!

  • Sathya says:

My favorite is the ss maple earring and bow pendent. I would like to give it as a gift to my daughter who turns 3yrs this may.

  • jane says:

They are really really cute. I love the house pendent. I’m actually look for something unusual to go with my wedding dress. I this this might be the one. Check this link for my dress:—view-all/coast/fcp-product/2224683204

  • Margot says:

Wow, these are great! I love the one with the bike, but the one with the houses is a close second! Love them!

  • Joa says:

  • m.winter says:

I like the SS Macky Pendant best. Cats have always been my top fave animal. Back when I lived in NY i would help take care of numerous stray cats around the neighborhood along with another neighbor. They always knew my mothers home and hers was a safe haven for cats. Now that I am no longer living in NY, my home in Germany is home to 4 wonderful cats, but I will always stop and help a stray!
I would love to win, simply because I never win anything. 🙁

  • Monika Langenbrink says:

I like the ‘Lady Beetle Necklace’ the most. And I love your blog! Tack så mycket!

  • Algae says:

  • ibabe says:

I hardly can say which one I like more. They are all so cute. Love the bike one.

  • Lisbeth says:

How refreshing to see a completely different type of jewellery!
My favorite earrings are the small ‘Succulents’ because they have a nice graphic touch to them while still clearly resembling nature 🙂

  • Noel says:

I love love LOVE the Nouveau pendant – the Nouveau movement was my first ‘design love’ and still informs many of my design choices. I even have nouveau inspired tattoo on my arm! The style is timeless and this pendant is a great example of how it can be used in an unstuffy and contemporary way. I would wear this pendant for years to come.

  • Ana says:

I absolutely love the jasmine earrings! Nothing better than a bit of flowers to brighten up the winter days until Spring finally comes…

  • Andrea says:

So hard to choose just one favourite. I like the Art deco ones. I love all things art deco-especially my little art deco house!

  • Allison R. says:

I love the SS LYREBIRD PENDANT! So cute!

  • iz says:

Those cutie cats are my favourite because I adore cats and I’m a cat person! Also this pair looks like japanese anime cat figures, I want them they r great 🙂

  • moi says:

  • zsuzsa says:

Thank you, Benita for passing on this offer 🙂
My personal favorite is the feather pendant.

  • Rina Johnsen says:

I love that bike. Just because I haven´t seen one like that before, and because it hanging from two places -and not one like most of them do.

  • Lenore says:

The tandem bicycle is the best. I used to live in Holland with my boyfriend and makes me think of the good old days on the continent. And that dog on the back looks exactly like the kind we’d adopt! The trees pendant on their site are also quite cute. Lovely jewelry, all round.

  • Jenny says:

I love the Dash necklace – mainly because a have a friend who is obsessed with daschunds and who is going through a very rough time at the moment; it would be the perfect gift for her!

  • Polly says:

I love the russian doll one, and the bicycle one!

  • zoe says:

Oh, Polli are my favourites! I’ve always loved their pieces, so delicate and yet graphic and strong. I’ve had my eye on the SS Toile earrings for a while now – if I don’t win I’ll probably make use of that discount code and treat myself for my birthday this week! Thanks for making this one of the give-away’s you couldn’t resist!

  • Maggie says:

I love the Grain Earings. They are a good size and I like the patterning

  • I really love the Terrace houses.
Melbourne (where I live), like Sydney is full of Terrace houses. I lived in a big old terrace house in the inner-city when I was studying Industrial Design (like the designers behind this brand).
Even if I don’t win the giveaway, I am so pleased to now know about Polli!

  • Miss VanDroo says:

Dog earrings! So cute! I know there are many ears here that would love a pair of those. :o)
Jewelry? Really? LOL…I always guessed you were in interior design somehow.

  • I have to say that it was very, very hard to choose only one. I just love all of them, but if since I have to tell my favorite one from them all, it has to be the jasmine necklace because it remind me of the house I grow up in. There was a huge Jasmine tree/bush at my bedroom window and every night, when the wind blew I could smell the little flowers, to this day, the sense of jasmine makes me travel in time to when I was a kid because of that.

  • Sara says:

SS Twenty… Because it looks like my dog and I luvvvv my dog!

  • Satu says:

I fell in love with the SS Owl And Pussycat Necklace. The details are amazing and I can imagine the owl singing a serenade in the moonlight. And I bet the cow is smiling. 🙂

Hello Ms Larsson! Here’s a fan of yours from Singapore trying her luck in this draw! 🙂 The bicycle built for two pendant’s really beautiful, and it looks good when worn. Really unique, haven’t seen one around here! Keep up the fabulous blog! I’ve really enjoyed reading it! :))

  • annie-san says:

So hard to choose, but I love the Camelia necklace the most.

  • Sana says:

oh my god. you’ll never believe me, but this is the best giveaway ever, and i’ll die if i dont lay my hands on that bike pendant! i like bikes very much, i use my on daily basis, and when i ride it i never feel alone, i feel self-sufficient and that feeling is so nice. the other day i was checking a bike pendant on etsy, but it was too expensive for my student budget.
and, the other night a friend said he dreamt so nice dream about us, we were riding a bike just like that one under the sea. i already feel connected to that bike (although the penny bicycle is nice, too).
and it is so detailed and well made.
(i feel little embarrassed revealing all my enthusiasm here 🙂

  • Emma says:

I love the lyrebird earrings in stainless steel. There is something so timeless yet modern about the way Polli have translated the shape of the bird into a wearable piece of art. Wow! Come to my ears, sweet birdies!

  • Lisen says:

I absolutely adore the “Owl and pussycat necklace”. It looks like it has stepped right out of a perfect, quirky seventies children’s book. And with a cow on top! Very cool and cute. It would be perfect with the light spring and summer dresses I can’t wait to wear.

  • uglygirl says:

I love Polli! The tea party necklace is my favourite, in stainless steel. I love the dog in the basket of the bicycle too!

  • Jennifer S. says:

Even after looking at the website, I like the bicycle built for two best. I love cycling (as transportation and as sport), and I noticed the bread and wine in the basket. That sounds like a good time to me!

  • Gudrun says:

I love them all! But absolute favoritte are the tandem bike. Makes me think about to people in love, having quality-time together.

  • lindsey says:

eeek, I never win a thing but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the magnolia necklace!!!
and would LOVE to own it 🙂
I also love the camellia, lyrebird, and feather necklace too…just so you know.

  • I love them all! I am definitely in a tie between the magnolia necklace (adorable!) and the love garden pendant. Lovely!

  • Amanda says:

Their stuff is so cute! It was really hard to decide but the SS Lady Beetile necklace is my favorite!

  • Allison says:

    So cute!
I love the bikes. I’m torn between the tandem bike and the old fashioned one (Penny Pendant).

  • raysongrrl says:

oh, goodness. way too many to choose from, but i feel as if i have to choose the bulldog, even tho it’s among the simpler ones. i grew up with bulldogs and my whole family has collectables from throughout the years and from vacations. for example, i recently returned from delft and bought my father a delft blue bulldog! also, i love the grain necklace b/c i am very into the wood look lately. thanks for the giveaway!

How pretty and unique! I’d love the ginko necklace:

  • Jennifer says:

My favorite is the SS Camellia Necklace, I like that it is not symmetrical.
I also like the fact that the website lets you see the necklace on it’s own but also worn by a lovely lady! That helps me visualize how it might look on me or a friend! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • aqeela says:

What unusual and interesting jewellery! I found it really hard to choose my favorites from the site but i think if i were to buy a piece it would be the large art deco necklace. Id choose this one because i really like bib style necklaces and i also love the art deco period. Plus i like that its not too quirky, i guess its a classic piece.
    aqeela xx

I think if I had to pick ONE, it might be the magnolia. Or the elm. Or maybe the penny! I need more time!!

  • Kara E. says:

I like the SS Heart (Bloom) Earrings best. They are whimsical, but still stylish. As, someone who loves to wear earrings, I think they’d look great on me. And if I don’t win, I think I might by them as a birthday gift to myself, since March is my birthday month. 🙂

  • Cindy Myers says:

I thought I liked the Tandem Necklace the most, until I looked at the entire collection on the Polli web site. Wow, what a difficult choice. I love the Kimono Necklace and the Magnolia Necklace, perhaps because they seem so fresh and airy. I’m also taken with the horizontal arrangement – I have many necklines that would suit that style well. I keep coming back to the Tandem Necklace as my all-time favorite, because of the quirky humor in it. The little dog in the basket makes me smile every time.

  • ratha says:

I love the Penny necklace and the good luck necklace. SO simple and beautiful!

  • silent reader says:

  • Megan says:

The Lyrebird Earrings are stunning. So delicate and so artistic. Gorgeous.

  • Leslie says:

The flock pendant – wow – and the irony of the freedom depicted in those five little birds but locked onto your neck. I would wear this every day, and think about the freedom of those birds, and remind my spirit to also be free. It would make me smile more, and hear the twittering of those finches even when what my ears are actually experiencing is the loud fan of my computer.

  • Karin says:

Jag tycker bäst om halsbandet med det ensamma huset(Terrace Pendant). Tycker om hus i alla former och blir färdig inredare inom någon månad. Vore perfekt att fira det med en hushalsband!

  • serina says:

hard decision! love the lady beetle pendant, elm pendant, and succulents earrings. such great designs.

  • Kristen K. says:

i just LOVE the feather pendant. it’s unlike any feather i’ve seen (which is saying a lot, since feathers are so big these days!), it’s strong but delicate at the same time. it’s such an ordinary thing (a feather) but somehow Polli makes it look like a piece of treasure 🙂

  • tsuyoikuma says:

I love the bicycle built for two. They’ve always reminded me of the “team” idea of relationships, having to work together to go forward towards a common goal. It’s a very cute piece with the dog in the back to boot!

  • This is an easy one for me. I love the SS Penny pendant. It reminds me of my first job working at a hostess at a local cafe. I had this handsome customer come in whenever I was working. He worked around the corner at his father’s bike shop. I never really thought about it until one day he took the antique Penny out of the bike shop’s window, rode over to the cafe and asked me out. It still makes me smile nearly 30 years later and just seeing the pendant brings back a flood of memories from those carefree younger years!

  • Vilka fantastiska smycken! Jag har aldrig sett dem förut. Halsbandet med den gamla cykeln är min favorit. Det är både charmigt och originellt, och min 11-åriga dotter skulle gärna dela det med mig. 🙂

  • Justina says:

I love the “SS Penny Pendant” bicycle.
It makes me dream of rides in the country side. 😉

  • TJ says:

I love the penny-farthing bicycle. It’s a vintage image, but reproduced in a modern way – it looks like a ‘normal’ pendant from a distance, but reveals itself as quirky in close-up. It’s the sort of jewellery that makes people do a double take, for all the right reasons!

  • Kiki says:

I would like this “Penny Pendant” for my dear friend Kiki who stays home with her newborn baby. Thanks

  • Dimitra G says:

  • lina says:

SS Magnolia Necklace, my favorite early summer flower magnola and the best pet ever is my parrot nikki. a perfect match!

  • Florence_Ann says:

    Wow – These are lovely!
I LOVE the bike necklace that you’ve posted here but I think my favourite is the ‘Penny’ bike necklace on the Polli site.
I am an avid cyclist – just about to cover my self in waterproof gear to brave the Vancouver downpour on my commute to work. And every summer my husband and I venture out on our bikes with our camping gear to see more of our great province. Currently, I blog here and there for a women’s cycling blog: And to top it off, I’m a member of the B:C:Clettes, Vancouver’s Bicycle Inspired Performance Collective. We celebrate bikes and those who ride them!
I have also done a couple of textile/design/art pieces, one of which incorporates vintage style bikes (like Penny Farthings!) and shows the power and freedom cycling gave women. (find the images at the bottom: Velocepede Mania).
Imagine how perfect it would be to wear a bike necklace while I take part in all of my bike-y activities!

  • Kate H. says:

Oh wow, these are beautiful pieces. But my favorite has to be the Owl and Pussycat pendant with its whimsy and intricate design. It just makes me smile.

  • Sara says:

    I love the SNNOWFLAKE pendant!
It looks so thin and I love how thin the lines formning the actuall snowflake are as well as it leaves plenty of room for skin to been seen inside of the snowflakes. It looks really nice not so “heavy”.
I also have a thing for snowflakes, I’m really fascinated with them. Can’t help it! 🙂

  • Mamacita says:

I like the art deco medium necklace and about 20 other things! Lovely. Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Carol says:

I love the grain necklace – it’s absolutely beautiful!

  • Kim says:

  • Beatriz says:

I don’t know if you have many readers from South America, but I am one of them. I read you everyday and have accomplished several projects at home based on your advice. I love that jewerly page, my favorites are the Jasmine and the Elm collections…beautiful, and I’m thinking they would make a lovely papercut pattern too….Thanks for the giveway!!

  • Ann says:

Looove the house necklace–as an interior designer and a real estate agent in training I am mad for any house-related accessory!

  • Brandy says:

Wow, I love the tandem bike! Yesterday my husband went to leave for work only to find his bike was stolen! He had to ride my borrowed bike to work this morning. I joked with our friends who own a bike shop that with my bike being beyond repair from an accident and with his being stolen we could now purchase our dream bike, a tandem!
After looking at the Polli site, I love all of these designs – I would have to say of the stainless line I like the small succulents earrings best – the design is simple and reminds me of one of my favourite paintings.
Thank you for the give away Benita!

  • Megan says:

These are so neat! I love how different they are. That bike is fantastic! After looking at the website, I went with the first one that jumped out at me. I really like the large art deco necklace because it reminds me of my mother’s amazing necklace that she bought to wear belly dancing while our family lived in Iran. I like to think of her life while in Iran. It was very much to her taste. Shopping the shops, music, delicious food and crazy cab driving.

  • Katherine says:

I really love them all. I nearly chose the nesting dolls (because of my heritage), or the bicycle (because I love to ride), but the SS Elm pendant is my favorite. The clean bare branches look like trees in winter, and the circular shape makes it look like the tree is silhouetted by the full moon. Right now I love all things lunar because my daughter Vivian and I love to look for the moon together every night so we can sing “I see the moon, the moon sees me…”

  • Lisa H. says:

These pendants are all so gorgeous, but my absolute favorite is the SS Elm Pendant. I’ve always had an affinity for nature, ever since I was a child. Trees have been especially outstanding to me. Growing so large, sheltering so much life. They’re like an embodiment of everything wonderful about nature.

  • Martha says:

going to go with the tandem as well. Some day I’d like to own a full-sized one.

  • Nolwenn says:

I love the ss elm (small) pendant. It catches the eye but is still subtle, I’ve been looking for something like that for ages! Moreover it reminds me of the Tree of Gondor and I’m a big fan of the Lord of the Rings 😉

  • abbi says:

I love the bikes! The tandem and the penny pendant!

  • Laura says:

Oh how lovely they all are, such an adorable collection.
My favourite peice has to be the “SS Hoot Pendant”
My family has a quite a few little owl’s dotted all over the house.
Our owl obsession started when my little brother was 4 years old and claimed when he grew up he “wanted to be an owl”. Its stuck ever since then 🙂

  • Pam says:

I like the Monstera earrings. It would make me feel like I’m in paradise. 🙂

  • Maggie says:

I love the pippi earrings. They’re delicate but they still have a strong graphic element.

  • Meg B. says:

Ooooh, it’s so hard to choose! I think I like the stainless leaves best.

  • Alison says:

I like the little bird with flowers on its wings. I am really looking forward to seeing how you will “pick” the winner this time. You are always so creative.

  • Anne B. says:

Svårt att välja bland många roliga smycken. Men säger nog Camellia halsbandet.
Vad bra att de har bilder på modeller som bär smyckena, det är mycket lättare att få en bild av hur smycket ser ut på det viset.

  • Heather says:

I looove the bicycle pendant! my husband is a cyclist, and much of the summer & fall here in the states, we spend our weekends at bike races. It’s a fun day trip for us, and I get so proud of him when he wins (which he did a lot last year)!!

  • I’m over the moon for the vine necklace! I’m an artist, but also have a degree in herbalism and my master gardeners certificate so I’m addicted to plants as well. That, and the necklace is just BEAUTIFUL!

  • kelly says:

the bike with the kitty in the back basket and wine in the front basket is just the cutest thing ever! i’d love to win it for my sister. she is a cyclist and loves kittys, and needs some cheering up after being knocked over on her bike in a hit and run accident.

  • cass says:

I’ve just realised I had a Polli coaster right in front of me that was given to me as a wedding gift!! how did i just skim past this before?? as a huge fan of “cycle chic” the tandem bicycle is my fave… but I also looove the terraces. I drew a little drawing like that for an urban design study of Paddington when I used to live in the city, and oh how I miss that little terrace I lived in!! oh no now I really want to win. what gorgeous jewellery, now i understand what good advertising these giveaways are, haha. Thanks Benita!

  • Sabine says:

My favourite piece is the one with the bikes, for sure! But I like the houses as well and if the cats would be dogs they would be my third favourite. Beautiful pieces of art!

  • Anne says:

The SS Elm Pendant looks timeless and modern at the same time.
I’d LOVE to win a polli pendant. Thanks for the chance 🙂

  • Denise says:

Oh wow. These are beautiful. I think my favorate is the Lyrebird Pendant… no… the Elm Pendant is my favorate. I think. I love them all.
Wow, I really like these! They are on my wish list for my birthday!

  • Helena says:

I rarely apply for those kind of give aways. MAybe just as rarely as you accept them. But this was too unresistible.
I love almost all of their pieces but most of all I love the Penny pendant!
And I also love your blog. Its so “lagom” not to much not too little, inspiration, privacy, colors everything.

  • My favourite is the Dragonfly Pendant. I really love dragonflies – they seems to be small, gracious aeroplanes in the air. They really symbolises summer for me and here in Lulea in the north I could really need a reminder that summer will come.

  • Christina-L says:

Hi! All of them are so beautiful but the Camellia Necklace i think it’s so nice with my white collar shirt. Thank you so much for this give-away 🙂

  • Wehaf says:

My favorite is the beautiful penny farthing bicycle; it is whimsical and charming and funny!

  • Tammy says:

ooooh the bike pendant is just too cute! I also Love the Lyrebird pendant….mmmm I’d say the bike wins for me though!

  • It was a tough call between the non-matching house earrings and the set of row houses as a pendant, but I’m going to have to finally go with the pendant. I live in a row house myself, and my city is full of them, which I love. Also, the tiny bicycle in the corner is so sweet, and it’s how I get around, so this is almost like a little portrait of my block. 🙂
