Summer/Winter

Remember my tray set up behind the stove to protect the tile and make for easier cleaning. I really love it and it’s so much easier to wipe that the subway tile and grout.   For winter I wasn’t feeling the green anymore so I got another tray in navy (LOVING navy right now although I do know that my favorite green apparently is THE color at the moment). I also switched the dish drainer out for the white version. La-la-love this look and I love how easily a switch of trays can change the mood in the kitchen.

Drip Tray

I have this one narrow cabinet right next to the exhaust fan in the kitchen. I use if for those things that are kind of awkward to store; tall things like bottles and long things like spaghetti and cling film. Oh, and my little day-to-day upstairs tool kit also fits there on a shelf.   The best thing was when I noticed that one of my plastic trays fit right in there. The tray catches any little drips from the bottles and is easier to keep clean than the inside of the cabinet. I love trays and the multitude of uses they have. Oh and, please excuse the weird depth of focus in this shot. Don’t know what went on there…

Corralling Desk Stuff

I looove corralling stuff. As soon as you corral items together you create a “one” which stops everything from looking too messy. I needed something to corral my desk items with and thought of this white ceramic tray I’ve had stashed away for years.   For a bit of color I just added a sheet if yellow craft paper cut to size and with the corners snipped into shapely curves.   Perfect match for my notepad.
